Jason Van Heemst
President
Jason Van Heemst is the President of AvOps Solutions and a globally respected aviation leader, consultant, and IOSA RBI Auditor and Trainer with more than two decades of senior management experience.
Recognized worldwide for his ability to lead complex aviation projects, Jason has partnered with airlines, airports, and civil aviation authorities across multiple regions to strengthen safety, operational performance, and regulatory compliance. His expertise spans auditing, management systems, airport operations, and organizational safety and quality frameworks, supported by deep subject‑matter knowledge in GRH, CGO, SeMS, QMS, ORG and SMS.
Jason is also known for his exceptional training leadership—designing and delivering high‑impact aviation programs that blend real‑world operational insights with proven adult learning methodologies. With a Master’s in Aviation Management from Griffith University and extensive experience preparing organizations for audits, system development, and reform initiatives, he is widely regarded as a trusted advisor and influential voice in challenging and advancing global aviation standards.
Angela Dowell
Senior Consultant & Trainer
Angie Dowell is an experienced aviation safety, compliance, and training professional with more than 30 years in airline operations, regulatory oversight, IOSA auditing, and technical publications. She currently serves as an IOSA Lead Auditor and Evaluator with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), leading multidisciplinary audit teams and supporting compliance with IOSA Standards and Recommended Practices (ISARPs).
Prior to her current role, Angie spent over 17 years with SkyWest Airlines supporting Safety Management Systems, regulatory compliance, internal audits, technical publications, and training administration. She also brings valuable frontline operational experience from Midwest Express Airlines, where she served in operational, security, customer service, and inflight roles, gaining hands-on experience in flight operations coordination, aircraft servicing, passenger safety, and regulatory compliance.
Angie is passionate about aviation safety, operational excellence, and developing aviation professionals through practical, compliance-focused instruction and leadership.
